Information Technology
In 1992 I completed a Graduate Diploma in Computer Science at La Trobe University. Following this I was fortunate to find a position that combined my science and medical knowledge with my new IT skills, working at Melbourne University in the Medical Faculty producing educational multimedia and web sites. This was followed by roles in private software companies and for six years, an ICT support and development role at a large secondary school in Melbourne.
When undertaking my Graduate Diploma of Education in 2010 the Information Technology method was not being offered, so instead I was able to take Biology and Science methods.

Experience
- Familiarity with numerous programming languages, including C, Objective-C, Pascal, Java, Basic, PHP
- Software development and Lifecycle management
- Database development using FileMaker Pro and mySQL
- Web development skills using current W3C standards, and database backend
- Authoring of Multimedia resources for internet and CD-ROM
- Quality Control and Testing
